I have been teaching piano accompaniment for over 30 years. It is time to share the resources and strategies that I have generated over these years. My students, past and present, have continuously encouraged me to put my ideas of teaching this unique style of playing into an instructional book. It is a guide for music teachers and for anyone wanting to learn something new and to help them on their journey to becoming a traditional piano accompanist with some insight into the Cape Breton style.
